Lonergan went 17-for-27 for 231 yards and three touchdown passes to guide the Hawks past host Lindenwood-Belleville 29-15 last Thursday night. The redshirt-junior closed the game strong, going 7-for-9 in the final quarter for 103 yards and two touchdowns to pull away from the Lynx in the winning effort. Lonergan did not throw an interception and carried the ball four times for 16 yards. This is the Jacksonville, Ill., native’s first weekly honor from the conference and he is the first Hawk to receive the league’s offensive accolade since wideout Justin Dickens was recognized on Sept. 30, 2013.
