INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference has named Rockhurst junior middle hitter Preecy Seever and Bellarmine University senior libero Jaclyn Ohlmann as its Baden Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Seever hit .505 with 62 kills and added 11 blocks - 10 assisted - in 14 games to lead Rockhurst to a 4-0 start to the season.  The Hawks blanked Pittsburg State and Findlay (3-0), and dropped a set to both Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri (3-1).  Seever best outing was against GLIAC foe Findlay, where she had 17 kills and one error in 25 attempts for an impressive .640 attack outing.  A native of Olathe, Kan., Seever was named to the All-Tournament Team joined by teammate Katie Loescher.  She ended the week averaging a league best 4.43 kills and 4.86 points per set.  This is the first career weekly award for Seever and the first offensive award for a Hawk since Kelsey Stratman was recognized on Oct. 1, 2012.
