INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference has named Truman State sophomore outside hitter Kayla Bastian and Rockhurst junior middle hitter Preecy Seever as its Baden Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Seever kept the Hawks unbeaten (7-0, 2-0 GLVC) after collecting a five-set home win against Emporia State, and two league road wins at Bellarmine (3-0) and Southern Indiana (3-0).  The Olathe, Kan., native finished the week with 17 blocks (1.55 per set), 34 kills (3.09 per set), and 43.5 points (3.95 per set), while hitting .474 and only committed seven errors on 57 attacks in three victories.  So far this season, Seever has 96 kills, 17 errors, and 160 total attacks for a league best .494 hitting percentage.  This is the second time Seever has been honored by the conference, as she won the Offensive Player of the Week award last week.
