INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Drury University’s Tyler Goss (Springfield, Mo.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
Goss, a freshman third baseman, led his team to a pair of wins over the University of Southern Indiana this past weekend guaranteeing the Panthers a spot in the GLVC Championship Tournament.
For the weekend, Goss was 7-for-12 with four RBIs, four runs scored, a double and home run.
Included in his efforts was a 3-for-4 performance at the plate in the Panthers’ 8-1 victory over the Eagles on Saturday. He delivered a double, two runs and an RBI in the win.
On the year, Goss is hitting .311 with 34 RBIs, 28 runs, seven doubles and two home runs. Drury (27-22) is the No. 3 seed for the upcoming GLVC Championship Tournament to be played at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Illinois on May 10-13.
Other top performances in the GLVC last week included Lewis’ Billy Duffy, Missouri-Rolla’s Tavish Hill, Quincy’s Chris Scoggins, Rockhurst’s Steve Braun, Saint Joseph’s Scott Sieder and SIU Edwardsville’s Ryan Czyz.
