Poindexter returned three punts for 102 yards and one touchdown in Quincy’s 65-0 win over Haskell Indian Nations on Saturday. The Newport News, Virginia native returned a Haskell punt 47 yards for a touchdown late in the first half to push Quincy's lead to 35-0 over the Indians. He also had punt returns of 35 yards and 20 yards on Saturday, which brought his total to the third-highest amount of punt return yards in conference history.  His average of 34.0 yards also ranks third in league annals.  He is the 18th GLVC standout to return a punt for a touchdown and the first Hawk to do so since Jarrod Sergent scored off a return against McKendree on Oct. 13, 2012.  Poindexter also helped lead the Hawks on the offensive side of the ball, hauling in four catches for a career-high 93 yards and a touchdown.  The weekly award is his first, and the first-ever for Quincy in special teams.  The Hawks last weekly honoree came just three weeks ago on Sept. 8 when quarterback Nick Lonergan was named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week.
