INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference has named Lewis University senior setter Leigh Barea and Truman State University senior libero Abby Moser Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Moser led Truman State (13-2, 9-0) to a 3-0 record that ran the team's win streak to 11 consecutive matches.  She cataloged back-to-back double-digit digs in straight-set victories over Quincy and William Jewell, and a 3-2 win against intra-division foe Rockhurst.  Moser turned in a solid performance for the week, averaging 5.18 digs and became just the second Truman player in program history to eclipse 2,000 career digs.  The Wildwood, Missouri, native opened the week with a 10-dig effort against the Hawks in a three set win.  She added a service ace in the match where she surpassed the career dig milestone.  Then, on Friday night, she totaled 19 digs in three sets, while also recording her first kill of the season against the Cardinals.  Finally, on Saturday afternoon, Moser went off for 28 digs in Truman's five-set victory against the Hawks, where she finished the weekend with 57 digs, three assists, and two service aces that stretched the Bulldogs West Division lead over Rockhurst by two full matches.  For the season, she is averaging 4.58 digs per set and has played in all 53 of Truman's sets.

This week's honor marks the second career honor for Barea, she earned the accolade Oct. 22, 2012, while Moser claims her second recognition of the season; she most recently won the award last week (Sept. 29).
