INDIANAPOLIS – Saint Joseph’s College senior Logan Barrett has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week in men’s cross country, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Competing in Edwardsville, Illinois at the John Flamer Invitational, where Saint Joseph’s finished fourth out of eight teams with 99 points. Barrett completed the 8,000-meter course in a race-winning time of 25 minutes, 8.91 seconds, just two seconds shy of the meet record.
Barrett earns his first career weekly honor in the sport and is the first Puma runner to be recognized since Naza Sanchez on Oct. 12, 2010.
SJC will travel to Romeoville, Illinois on Saturday to compete in the Pre-GLVC Conference Rumble. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m. CST.
