Quincy University redshirt freshman running back Chris Harris and redshirt sophomore kicker Blake Allison, along with William Jewell College senior linebacker Eric Jackson, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday. 

In Quincy’s 59-34 win against Southwest Baptist, Allison was perfect on eight point-after attempts - just one shy of matching the GLVC record.  He drilled a 33-yard field goal that cut the Bearcats’ lead down to 34-31 in the third quarter, that improved is career mark to 4-for-4 on field goals, while he is 24-for-27 on extra points this season.  The Decatur, Illinois, native also booted 10 kickoffs for 490 yards, averaging 49.0 yards per kick.  This is Allison's first weekly honor of his career and the second for a QU special teamer as Eric Poindexter was honored two weeks back on Sept. 29.
