INDIANAPOLIS – Bellarmine University freshmen Luke Dobson and Olivia Hoskins have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week in the sports of men’s and women’s swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office on Monday.

This is the second time Bellarmine has swept the weekly honors as Christian Taylor and Caroline Smith were both recognized on Feb. 5, 2014 – last season’s final weekly award.

Dobson was a multiple winner in Bellarmine’s team victory at the Asbury University Kick-Off Invite in Wilmore, Kentucky on Saturday.  The Lexington, Kentucky native won the 200 Breaststroke in 2.13.64 and then the 200 Individual Medley in 1.59.03.  This is Dobson’s first career weekly award.

Bellarmine returns to the pool on Oct. 25 as the Knights will go crosstown to the University of Louisville to host Indianapolis in the Greyhounds’ season opener.
