INDIANAPOLIS – Saint Joseph's College senior Logan Barrett has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week in men's cross country for the second consecutive week, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Barrett raced to a win with an 8,000-meter course-record time of 25 minutes, 39 seconds at Saturday's Pre-Conference Rumble hosted by Lewis University – the site of the 2014 GLVC Championships. The Bedford, Indiana native, who bested the second-place finisher by 44 seconds, also helped the Pumas to the team victory. Saint Joseph's scored 23 points in the win, placing ahead of runner-up Maryville (33) and third-place finisher Lewis (82).
The Pumas will next travel to Southern Indiana for the NCAA Regional Preview in Evansville, Indiana, on Oct. 25.
