Baar turned in a record-setting performance in the Bearcats' 53-43 victory on Saturday at Southwest Baptist University. Baar set a new McKendree and GLVC record with 5 ½ quarterback sacks against Southwest Baptist. The Chicago, Illinois, native had four of his sacks in the first half as McKendree registered a season-high eight sacks in the win. He broke the Bearcats' record of 4 ½ sacks set by Oku Satcher in a 2001 game against Iowa Wesleyan College. The 4 ½ sacks by Baar topped the previous GLVC mark of four sacks, which was set by former McKendree defensive lineman Tim Weidenbacher in a 2012 contest at Kentucky Wesleyan College. This is Baar's first weekly honor of his career and the first for a McKendree defender since linebacker Alec Gerdes on Sept. 23, 2013.
