Drury University junior forward Shelby Hatz and University of Wisconsin-Parkside senior defender Emily Konior have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week in women's soccer, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Hatz, who has scored six times in the Panthers' last three games, scored two goals in Drury's 4-0 victory over Southern Indiana on Friday, which included the game winner.  She also netted a goal in the Panthers' 4-1 win over Illinois Springfield on Sunday.   The Springfield, Missouri, native took five shots on the weekend and converted all three that were on goal for the weekend hat trick.  Last week, Hatz netted a single-game hat trick in DU's 4-2 victory at McKendree.  Hatz earns her first career weekly honor.  While the past two Drury weekly honorees have been honored for defensive efforts (Kelsey Vaught, Oct. 28, 2013 & Oct. 22, 2012), this is the first time a Panther has been honored offensively since Emily Cline was named GLVC Player of the Week on Oct. 17, 2011.
