INDIANAPOLIS – Truman State University freshman Will Shanel and Bellarmine University freshman Olivia Hoskins have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week in the sports of men’s and women’s swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Hoskins led the way for the Knights with three victories in a dual meet against the University of Indianapolis in Louisville, Kentucky, this past Saturday.  Hoskins finished first in the 100 Fly (59.08), 200 Fly (2.12.10), and 200 IM (2.11.40), setting new Bellarmine records in the process.  The award is the second in two weeks for the newcomer from LaGrange, Kentucky, as she was honored along with teammate Luke Dobson on Oct. 13.

Next up for Hoskins and the Knights is a trip to Franklin, Indiana, as Bellarmine will face off against Franklin/Centre on Nov. 1 at 1 p.m.
