University of Indianapolis kicker senior Scott Miller, McKendree University sophomore lineman Lucky Baar, and Truman State University senior running back Garrett White have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

White was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Baar was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Miller was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Miller sealed UIndy’s 36-33 four-overtime win over Saint Joseph’s before a nationally-televised audience on CBS Sports Network last Thursday with a field goal on the final play of the marathon affair.  After the Greyhounds’ defense stopped the Pumas on the first possession of the fourth OT, Miller was true from 35 yards out, clinching the victory and upping the UIndy win streak to seven.  Miller had two more clutch kicks earlier in the game with 33-yard FG in the fourth quarter and 24-yarder in the first overtime.  He was also 3-for-3 on extra-point attempts, with his only miss coming on a 54-yard FG try at the end of regulation.  In addition, the Indianapolis, Indiana, native averaged 53.2 yards on four kickoffs and 37.5 yards on four punts, dropping two inside the 10 and one for a touchback.  This is Miller's third career weekly nod as he was also recognized by the conference on Oct. 7, 2013 and Oct. 29, 2012.
