INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis kicker senior Scott Miller, McKendree University sophomore lineman Lucky Baar, and Truman State University senior running back Garrett White have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

White was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Baar was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Miller was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Baar continued his impressive streak of giving GLVC quarterbacks fits in the Bearcats’ 41-20 home victory over William Jewell College on Saturday.  He recorded a career-high 12 tackles in the contest, including six for loss.  The Chicago, Illinois, native, who earned his first-ever weekly honor on Oct. 20 just two days after setting a McKendree and GLVC record with 5 ½ quarterback sacks at Southwest Baptist University, made a run at the mark again versus Jewell and finished the day with 4 ½ sacks. He now has 12 ½ sacks in his last three games and 13 for the 2014 season. Baar has tied the Bearcats’ record for sacks in a year, which was set by Oku Satcher in 1999 and matched by Satcher again in 2001. In addition, Baar’s 19 ½ tackles for loss now ranks fourth in team history for a season.
