INDIANAPOLIS – Drury University senior Sean Feher and sophomore Ariel Xu have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week in the sports of men’s and women’s swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Xu helped the Panthers to a fifth-place finish at the Mizzou Invite on Saturday, posting five total NCAA “A” cuts and one “B” cut in three individual and three relay events.  She won the 100 Freestyle (49.13) and placed third in the 50 Free (22.83) both of which met the “A” standard.  She finished 13th in the 200 Free (1:50.99) to achieve a “B” Cut.  Xu was also a part of the 200 (1:41.04) and 400 (3:23.61) Medley Relay teams, as well as the 200 Free Relay (1:31.64) squad, which earned “A” cuts in each race.  Drury’s 400 Free Relay (3:40.26) team that included Xu just missed meeting another “A” Cut.

This is the second weekly career award for Xu as she as honored earlier this year on Oct. 21.
