INDIANAPOLIS – Lewis University senior distance runner Andrew McLain and University of Indianapolis senior thrower T.J. Lovejoy have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday.

Lovejoy won the 35-pound weight throw contested at UIndy’s Friday Night Special last week with a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 19.50 meters.  The Indianapolis, Indiana, native’s mark is currently ranked first among GLVC competitors and sixth on the NCAA qualifying list.

The award marks Lovejoy’s second in the indoor season as he was also the weekly honoree on Feb. 19, 2014, the last time a Greyhound field standout was honored.
