Bellarmine University senior sprinter Meghan Jones and Lewis University senior pole vaulter Rebecca Priesler have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday. 

Priesler won the pole vault at the NAIA vs. NCAA Challenge on Saturday with a jump of 3.80 meters (12’-5.5”).  The mark is first among all GLVC vaulters and tied for third nationally.

The hometown Romeoville, Illinois, native earns her third weekly honor of the indoor season.  She was recognized two weeks ago on Jan. 15 and exactly a year before that on Jan. 15, 2014.
