University of Southern Indiana junior distance runner Johnnie Guy and Lewis University junior jumper Isaac Jean-Paul have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Thursday.
Jean-Paul notched a school-record and NCAA automatic qualifying high jump of 2.19 meters (7'2 1/4") to lead the eighth-ranked Flyers to a third-place finish at the Grand Valley State Quad last Saturday.
?The Gurnee, Illinois native garners his second straight weekly award and fourth of his career, as he was also honored with the season’s first award back on Dec. 11, 2014 after earning his first accolade on Jan. 29, 2014.
