INDIANAPOLIS – Lewis University sophomore Shawn Milhauser and junior Adam Barr have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was recently announced by the conference office.

Milhauser earned a pair of NCAA Provisional marks this past weekend at the Hillsdale Wide-Track Classic. He finished the 800-meter run in a career-best 1:53.08 and ran a leg of the first-place Distance Medley Relay (10:06.02). Milhauser's 800-meter run time is the fastest in the GLVC and also the 21st best in Division II.

Barr broke his own school-record in the weight throw with a second-place and NCAA Provisional heave of 20.00m (65'7 1/2"). His previous best toss was 19.04m (62'4 1/2") set last season. That mark is the best in the GLVC and sixth-best in Division II overall.

This is Milhauser's first GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award and its the fourth time out of seven tries that Lewis has captured the honor. This is the second time this season and fourth time overall that Barr has been named the Field Athlete of the Week. In all, the Flyers have won the GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award, six times this year.
