Bellarmine University sophomore middle distance runner Thomas Cave and Missouri S&T senior pole vaulter Cody Durand have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.

Durand finished the regular season at last week’s OBU Bison Invitational with a clearance of 15-11 in the pole vault.  The mark ranks him first in the GLVC and 12th in the national rankings. 

The Peoria, Illinois, native garners his first weekly award and is the first Miner to be recognized by the league since Ryan McGuire was honored on Feb. 25, 2014.
