University of Missouri-St. Louis senior catcher Madison Zbaraschuk and senior pitcher Brittni Chapman have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of softball, the conference office announced Monday.
 
Chapman went 2-0 in the circle over the course of three appearances last week, posting an earned run average of 0.57.  She allowed just two runs, including one earned, while only walking two batters in 12.1 innings pitched.  Her complete game in the Tritons’ 1-0 win over Grand Valley State gave GVSU its first loss of the season. 

A native of O’Fallon, Illinois, this is Chapman’s first career weekly award.
