Lewis University sophomore Shawn Milhauser and University of Indianapolis senior thrower T.J. Lovejoy have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday.
Lovejoy won the 35-pound weight throw at the Tune-up Meet contested at Ohio State University with an NCAA provisional mark of 20.08 meters, which topped the efforts of the throwers from nationally-ranked Ashland and Findlay. He is among the top 10 throwers in Division II this season and sits atop the rankings in the GLVC.
The award marks the Indianapolis, Indiana, native's third in the indoor season as he was also the weekly honoree on Feb. 19 and Dec. 17, 2014.
