William Jewell College senior Conner Hazelrigg has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in the sport of women’s tennis, the conference announced Friday.
 
Hazelrigg helped the Cardinals to a 7-2 team victory over University of Illinois Springfield March 1 after posting an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles with sister Loree Hazelrigg over Faith Hook and Janasha Prabhu. At No. 2 singles, she faced Hook again and won 6-2, 6-1. This was the first opportunity of her career in the No. 2 slot.
 
The St. Joseph, Missouri, native earns her first weekly honor.
