Lewis University junior Chantel Stennis and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Farin Hickman have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.

Stennis won the 200 meters at the Greenville Select Meet this past Saturday, clocking in at 24.49 seconds for an NCAA provisional mark.  Earlier in the day, she ran the second leg on the victorious 4x100-meter relay squad that ran 47.37 and the second leg of the runner-up 4x400-meter relay team with a time of 3:40.75.

A native of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Stennis earns the second outdoor honor of her career as she was first recognized by the GLVC on May 2, 2014, which was also the last time a Flyer earned the award.
