University of Missouri-St. Louis junior Hannah Perryman and University of Southern Indiana senior Brooke Harmening were named Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, in the sport of softball, the conference office announced Monday.

Harmening hit .500 with three home runs, a double, seven hits, five runs scored, and 11 runs batted in to help lead 16th-ranked Southern Indiana softball to doubleheader sweeps versus UW-Parkside and Lewis.

She went 5-for-8 in USI's first doubleheader versus UWP, tallied two three-run homers, along with a double, as the Screaming Eagles defeated the Rangers 10-4 and 8-3. She came back the next day to tally two RBI and a run in the Eagles' 7-2 route of Lewis, before returning to the field in the nightcap to tally her third home run of the day as USI completed its sweep of the Flyers with a 4-1 win. On the season, the senior is hitting .339 with 30 RBI, 37 hits, six doubles, 21 runs scored, and is third on the team in home runs (6).

The Whiteland, Indiana, native has earned two previous weekly awards, once as Pitcher (Feb. 11, 2015) earlier this season and once as Player (April, 1, 2013) two seasons back, for a total of three career honors.
