Drury University’s Cesar Cereijo (Plano, Tex.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. The senior goalkeeper anchored the Panthers’ defense on the week and led them to three GLVC victories.

Cereijo opened Drury’s week of action by shutting down visiting Rockhurst and collecting six saves in the Panthers’ 1-0 victory.

He added two saves in the Panthers’ 2-0 win over visiting Southern Indiana on Friday and returned on Sunday to collect his third shutout of week in Drury’s 4-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan.

For the week, Cereijo made eight saves and posted three shutout victories. He now has 17 saves on the season, a 0.39 goals against average and four shutouts.

Drury (10-3, 6-3) has held its opponents scoreless in its current four-match winning streak with Cereijo collecting a shutout in each.

The Panthers will host Tiffin and Missouri Southern State in non-conference action this week.
