University of Indianapolis junior Morgan Foley and University of Southern Indiana senior MacKenzi Dorsam were named Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, in the sport of softball, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Foley racked up three wins and a save in four appearances in the circle last week. She compiled a 0.98 ERA while striking out 39 batters in 21 1/3 innings of work. Opponents mustered just seven hits in 71 at bats, good for a paltry .099 batting average.

Against third-ranked Missouri-St. Louis, Foley helped the Greyhounds to a 3-2 come-from-behind win. Foley struck out 16 and gave up no walks in the complete-win effort. She faced just three over the minimum, while fanning the first eight batters of the game.

Foley also spun a 15-K, two-hitter in a 4-1 non-conference win at Wheeling Jesuit Wednesday. She pitched six scoreless frames to beat Maryville 5-0 in game one Saturday, followed by the four-out save in game two versus the Saints, a 3-2 victory.

The Louisville, Kentucky, native earns her third weekly award of the season and sixth of her career.
