Quincy University senior second baseman Kory Wisdom and Lewis University freshman pitcher Ryan Fox have been respectively named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Wisdom continued his impressive season at the plate hitting safely in every game this past week.  He had two or more hits in five of the six games played this week, and hit .542 (13-for-24) to improve his GLVC-leading batting average to .463 this season.  The Eureka, Missouri, native had two homeruns, a double, seven RBI, and eight runs scored to help Quincy to a sweep of Lincoln and Maryville.  Against Lincoln on Tuesday, Wisdom was 6-for-6 and reached base safely in every plate appearance.  Wisdom's second homer of the week came in a timely manner as he blasted a ninth-inning homer against Maryville to give the Hawks a 5-3 win.
