INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Reece Horn and Saint Joseph’s College junior defensive back Jessie Pourch and senior kicker Gavin Voss have garnered the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors for the 2015 football season, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Horn was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Pourch was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Voss was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Horn hauled in 13 receptions for a GLVC-record 241 yards and one touchdown in Thursday’s 27-17 comeback home win against Saginaw Valley State.  The 241 yards set a new single-game receiving mark in the conference, besting the 219 yards Southwest Baptist’s Nathan Mourik posted at William Jewell on Sept. 4, 2014.  Horn averaged 18.5 yards per catch as seven of his 13 receptions went for 18 yards or more, including a 50-yarder in the first half.  The reigning GLVC Offensive Player of the Year and Carmel, Indiana, native earns the first weekly award of his career.  He is the first Greyhound offensive standout to be recognized by the league since Matt Ripp was honored on Oct. 20, 2014.
