Rockhurst University senior middle hitter Katie Loescher and sophomore libero Anne Hellwege have garnered Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in the sport of volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday.
 
Loescher was tabbed Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Hellwege was named Baden/Defensive Player of the Week.

Hellwege led the Hawks during an unblemished 4-0 weekend with 64 digs (5.3 per set), including 22 in their 3-0 win past No. 5 Wayne State. She also was perfect in receiving with no errors in 52 attempts. Additionally, the libero was nearly perfect in her service game, recording a .978 serve percentage with just one error in 46 attempts.
 
The St. Louis, Mo., product earns her second career weekly honor and is the first defensive Hawk to be honored since she was first selected November 10, 2014.
