Bellarmine University junior midfielder Lauren Holder and Truman State University sophomore goalkeeper Katie Mattingly have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in the sport of women's soccer, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Holder was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Mattingly was named Defensive Player of the Week.

In three victories this week for Bellarmine, Holder helped to account for all three game-winning goals. The junior recorded two game-winning goals and assisted on another. In a non-conference match on Wednesday against Ohio Dominican, Holder laced the game-winning goal in the 48th minute of play. Two days later, in the team's GLVC opener at McKendree, it was the midfielder's pass that set Mary Beth Gorham up for the game-winning goal in the 84th minute of a 1-0 victory. Finally, on Sunday, Holder delivered yet another game-winning score, finding the net in the 87th minute to break a 1-1 deadlock en route to a 2-1 triumph.

The St. Louis, Mo., native's first career weekly honor is also the first Knights' offensive selection since October 13, 2014 for Emily Hollander.
