Bellarmine University junior midfielder Lauren Holder and Truman State University sophomore goalkeeper Katie Mattingly have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in the sport of women's soccer, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Holder was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Mattingly was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Mattingly played in 200 minutes between the pipes, helping the Bulldogs stay unbeaten this weekend to open GLVC play with a scoreless overtime draw against Maryville and a shutout victory at Missouri-St. Louis. The sophomore faced 34 total shots and made six saves apiece in each contest. Against UMSL, Mattingly made four second-half saves, including a crucial stop in the 87th minute to keep the shutout and win intact.

The Perryville, Mo., product is Truman's first ever weekly awards selection on either offense or defense, which also makes this nod a career first.
