Bellarmine University senior Flannery Musk has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week in women’s cross country, it was announced by the Conference office on Wednesday.
Musk finished 10th at the Bluegrass Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky last Saturday, helping the Knights to a fourth-place result in a six-team field that included five Division I programs. The All-GLVC performer's time of 17 minutes, 51.8 seconds was not only a personal best, but the ninth-best 5K output in program history as well.
The New Hope, Kentucky, native earns her first career weekly award and the first for a Knight since Emily Frith claimed the honor on Oct. 7, 2014.
