Missouri S&T senior middle hitter Gracey Moon and University of Southern Indiana sophomore libero Shannon Farrell have earned Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in the sport of volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Moon was named Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Farrell was tabbed Baden/Defensive Player of the Week.

Moon had a blistering .613 hitting percentage with only one error in S&T's two home wins over Saint Joseph's and Indianapolis. Against the Pumas on Friday Moon was 4-4 in the opening set and 3-5 with no errors, leading S&T to consecutive 25-12 set wins. On Saturday against the Greyhounds the senior was one of three players to reach double figures in kills with 13. She had three in five attempts against no errors in the opening set and had a key assisted block breaking a 20-20 tie that sparked the Miners' 5-2 set-deciding run. Moon also had a pivotal kill in that run to put S&T ahead 23-21. Overall, the middle hitter added 22.5 points through both matches.

This is the Kirkwood, Mo., native's first career weekly honor and first offensive Miner selected since October 8, 2012 when Krista Haslag was chosen.
