Missouri S&T senior middle hitter Gracey Moon and University of Southern Indiana sophomore libero Shannon Farrell have earned Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in the sport of volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Moon was named Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Farrell was tabbed Baden/Defensive Player of the Week.

Farrell averaged 6.10 digs per set to lead the Screaming Eagles to a pair of GLVC wins this weekend. She racked up a career-high 36 digs in USI's five-set win over Quincy Friday night, coming within one dig of USI's single-match school record of 37, set by Amber Gogel in 2007. The sophomore's effort against the Hawks, which included double-digit dig totals in both the second and fourth frames, helped limit QU to a .160 attacking percentage. In USI's five-set win over Truman State Saturday, Farrell racked up 25 digs as the Eagles earned their third straight win. She had five digs in the first and fifth sets, while posting six digs in the third and fourth frames. The libero's effort helped limit the Bulldogs to a .195 attacking percentage. For the weekend, she recorded 61 digs and had a .953 receive percentage in 43 chances.

The Munster, Ind., product earns her first career weekly honor and is the first defensive Eagle to be honored since Kayla Heldman was selected November 11, 2013.
