University of Indianapolis junior forward Jacob Meyer and Quincy University sophomore goalkeeper Nate Griffin have garnered Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in the sport of men's soccer, it was announced by the league office Monday. 

Meyer was named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Griffin was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Quincy and Griffin compiled 200 minutes of scoreless soccer this weekend with a 5-0 win against William Jewell, and a scoreless tie against No. 6 Rockhurst. The sophomore made nine saves this weekend to keep two clean sheets. He stopped six shots against the Cardinals on Friday and followed with three saves against RU Sunday. Griffin earned his second and third shutout of the season and has played every minute in net for QU with a 7-2-1 record.

This is the St. Louis, Mo., product's first career weekly selection and first defensive nod for the Hawks since Drew Duncan was chosen on October 13, 2014.
