Lewis University junior Adam Wise and Drury University junior Wen Xu have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Athletes of the Week in the sports of men's and women's swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Xu competed at the Show-Me Showdown hosted by Division I University of Missouri on Friday, October 2. She took first in the 50 free (23.67) and was runner-up in the 100 free (51.96). Additionally, the junior anchored two relay teams, including the fourth-place 200 free relay that finished in 1:38.6 and the 400 free relay that touched in at 3:35 for fifth place. As a team, Drury finished second behind Mizzou with 346 points.
 
This is the first career weekly award for the Shanghai, China, native and the first for a Panther since Rebekah Laupp earned the final honor of last season on January 27, 2015.
