Truman State University freshman running back Andy Satulla, McKendree University sophomore linebacker Austin Weltha, and William Jewell College redshirt junior kicker Brandon Womack have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Satulla was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Weltha was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Womack was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Womack was perfect on the day and booted one for the records book in Jewell’s 35-34 road win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday.  The Dallas, Texas native was 3-for-3 in field goal attempts and 2-for-2 in PAT kicks.  With just 1:12 remaining in the game, Womack cleared the uprights from 52 yards out that not only won the game for the Cardinals, but also established a new GLVC record.  The previous conference best was set when Missouri S&T’s Adam Peden kicked a 47-yard field goal against Wisconsin-LaCrosse on Sept. 21, 2013.  In addition, Womack averaged 54.0 yards on eight kickoffs.  The award is the second of his career, as he was first honored almost one year ago on Oct. 20, 2014.  He is the first Jewell special teams star to earn the league’s weekly award since Zane Kitchell on Nov. 17, 2014.
