Truman State University freshman running back Andy Satulla, McKendree University sophomore linebacker Austin Weltha, and William Jewell College redshirt junior kicker Brandon Womack have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Satulla was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Weltha was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Womack was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Satulla ran for a season-high 172 yards on 31 carries and scored his first two collegiate touchdowns as Truman rallied from 20 points down to win 24-20 at NAIA No. 19 Saint Francis (Ill.) Saturday.  He scored a one-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 20-10 on the first possession of the second half then scored a 22-yard TD run following an interception to make it 20-17 late in the third quarter.  Satulla averaged 5.5 yards per rush against a St. Francis team that had limited opponent running backs to an NAIA-best 76 yards rushing per game and allowed just one rushing touchdown in the first six games. He had a season-long 28-yard carry on the first play of the second half and had four rushes over 20 yards against the USF defense.  The 172 yards by Satulla is the most by a true freshman since Jarrett Anderson ran for 172 against Northwest Missouri in 1993.  A native of Rolla, Missouri, Satulla earns his first career weekly award and is the first Truman offensive standout to be honored by the league since Garrett White on Nov. 3, 2014.
