University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Reece Horn, McKendree University sophomore linebacker Carter Vance, and Southwest Baptist University junior defensive end Vice Epenesa have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Horn was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Epenesa was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Vance was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Epenesa played a huge part in Southwest Baptist's 46-42 come-from-behind victory at Missouri S&T on Saturday. Epenesa recorded 11 tackles on the afternoon, including 3.0 for a loss, while registering one sack and one forced fumble.  Epenesa also registered a big strip sack with S&T on the SBU 5-yard line looking to score late in the third quarter. He anchored a defense that didn't allow any points in the second half, although the Miners did score on a touchdown during a second-half kickoff return.  This is the first career accolade for the Pago Pago, American Samoa native and the first time a Bearcat defender has been honored by the league.
