University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Reece Horn, McKendree University sophomore linebacker Carter Vance, and Southwest Baptist University junior defensive end Vice Epenesa have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Horn was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Epenesa was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Vance was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Horn had a record-setting performance in the Greyhounds' 63-35 win at William Jewell, which clinched a share of UIndy's fourth straight GLVC Championship.  He racked up 17 catches for 209 yards to set a new school and GLVC mark for receptions in a game.  The previous league record was set by Saint Joseph's Julian Walker with 15 receptions against McKendree on Nov. 10, 2012.  The Carmel, Indiana native also became UIndy's all-time leader in receiving yards, surpassing the career total of 3,254 set by former teammate Mar'Quone Edmonds (2009-12).  In addition, Horn went over the 1,000-receiving-yard mark for the year, becoming the first-ever Greyhound receiver with two 1,000-yard seasons to his credit.  Horn broke the UIndy career record on his final catch of the day – a 42-yard bomb in the fourth quarter – and also had a 52-yard catch on the way to his third career 200-yard receiving game.  Last week's GLVC Special Teams Player of the Week earns his second career offensive award as he was also recognized on Sept. 7, 2015.
