Missouri S&T senior middle hitter Krista Haslag and Rockhurst University senior right side hitter Alyssa Arnold have earned Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in the sport of volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday.
Haslag was named Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, while Arnold was selected Baden/Defensive Player of the Week.
Arnold led No. 8 Rockhurst defensively in two road wins, recording 46 digs (5.74 per set). She posted a season-high 26 digs in the 3-0 win at UW-Parkside on Saturday before collecting 20 digs and 10 kills in a 3-2 win at 21st-ranked Lewis on Friday. The right side hitter also recorded a near-perfect .958 receiving percentage after just two errors in two matches and was perfect in her service game in 38 total attempts.
The Dittmer, Mo., product garners her second career weekly honor, having last been selected November 4, 2013, and she is the second Hawk to be chosen this season as Anne Hellwege earned the nod twice, both on September 14 and October 1.
