Lincoln University freshman wide receiver Antwon Davis, McKendree University junior linebacker A.J. Wentland, and University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Reece Horn have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Davis was tabbed GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, Wentland was picked Defensive Player of the Week, while Horn was named Special Teams Player of the Week.

Davis broke the Lincoln single game record with 215 receiving yards in Saturday's 34-31 setback against William Jewell.  He hauled in 11 passes, two of which were for touchdowns, en route to producing the third-highest single game receiving total in GLVC history as well as the 14th-highest total by any Division II receiver this season. Davis' first touchdown was a circus catch as time expired in the first half, as he made a leaping grab and then, while falling back, managed to just get a foot down in bounds in the back corner of the end zone before landing. His second touchdown was a 71-yard reception that completed a 17-point second-half comeback by Lincoln and tied the game at 31. The St. John, Indiana native earns the first weekly award of his career and is the first Blue Tiger to earn offensive accolades from the Conference since Morris Henderson on Sept. 22, 2014.
