Drury University junior Daniel Rzadkowski and University of Indianapolis freshman Madeleine Leger have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Athletes of the Week in the sports of men's and women's swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
On the heels of two individual wins and one relay victory, Leger and the Greyhounds won 152-132 at DePauw in a dual meet Saturday. The freshman won both the 100 and 200 backstroke in times of 1:00.26 and 2:08.74, respectively. She also swam the second leg of the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.42).
The product of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, New Brunswick, Canada, earns her first career weekly selection and is the first female Hound to be chosen since Julia Madeira garnered the nod January 21, 2014.
