Saint Joseph's College redshirt-junior forward Kalea Parks has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Parks averaged 21 points on 26-for-51 (.510) shooting, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.3 blocks over three contests. She also finished 84.6% (11-for-13) at the foul line.

To open the week, the forward scored 21 points and grabbed nine boards in a 63-52 win at in-region foe Malone on Monday, adding five steals, three assists and two blocks. She tallied 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists in Friday's 74-61 victory against Mercyhurst, before another 21-point effort in Saturday's 83-43 trouncing of Oakland City that included five rebounds in just 22 minutes of play. 

The redshirt-junior has helped SJC to its first 5-2 start since the 2005-06 campaign. 

The Maywood, Ill., native becomes the first Puma selected since January 2, 2012 when Britney Cruse earned the nod.
