Drury University sophomore Alex Reinbrecht and junior Wen Xu have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week in men's and women's swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Xu had a stellar weekend at the Hawkeye Invite, opening the event with a first-place finish in the 50 free (22.60) before winning the 100 free en route to breaking the school record in a time of 49.09 on the last day of the meet. On Day 2, the junior also had a top-5 swim, touching in at 1:50.75 in the 200 free (5th). Her performances aided the Panthers to fourth place in the 11-team field, beating out five DI programs.

The product of Shanghai, China, earns her second weekly honor this season, capturing the very first selection of the 2015-16 season on Oct. 7, which makes two career weekly honors.
