Lewis University junior distance specialist Amanda Farrough and freshman jumper Cierra Pulliam have been respectively named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week of the 2015-16 season.

Farrough, the reigning GLVC Cross Country Champion and Runner of the Year, was the first collegiate finisher in the 5,000 meters at last weekend’s GVSU Holiday Opener, hosted by Grand Valley State University.  Her time of 16 minutes, 14.50 seconds automatically qualified her for the NCAA Championships and was also a school record.   The effort currently ranks first among all NCAA Division II runners.

The honor is the third GLVC weekly award in Farrough’s indoor career as the South Bend, Indiana native earned her two accolades on Dec. 17, 2014 and Feb. 5, 2015.
