Saint Joseph's redshirt-senior guard Lauren Davis has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

In two GLVC wins, Davis led the Pumas by averaging 27 points, 8.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds while shooting .515 (17-of-33) from the field and .826 (19-of-23) at the foul line. She also recorded a 2.8 assist-turnover ratio.

After a slow start on Thursday against Missouri-St. Louis, the redshirt-senior scored 15 second-half points to finish the game with 25. She also grabbed five rebounds and dished out as many assists in the 75-71 victory.

The script was similar in Saturday's 82-70 win against Maryville as the guard doled out 10 first-half assists and finished the game with 12. And with Brittany Morris out most of the second half, Davis took control of the point, scoring 21 of her game-high 29 points in the second half and hit .600 (9-of-15) from the floor in 39 minutes. The double-double was her first this season.

The Cincinnati, Ohio, native claims her first career weekly honor and becomes the second Puma selection this season after Kalea Parks was chosen Nov. 30, 2015.
