University of Southern Indiana senior distance runner Johnnie Guy and Lewis University senior multi-event specialist Dan Lentz have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday.   

Lentz won the heptathlon at the NAIA vs. NCAA Challenge at Olivet Nazarene this past Saturday with a personal-best and NCAA provisional mark of 5,117 points.  The winning score is a new school record, and ranks first in the GLVC and fifth nationally.

The Minooka, Illinois native earns his first career honor and gives Lewis three of the four GLVC Field Athlete of the Week accolades awarded this season. Teammates Isaac Jean-Paul and Bryce Holesinger were honored this past Dec. 9 and 16, respectively.
